Lily Ganchi, Engineering Degree Apprentice at National Gas Transmission, 3rd year apprentice in Pipelines & Installations Asset Engineering. Current Committee Member of YPPE, Board Member of the WES Apprentice Board.
Laura Kershaw – Ricardo
Laura is an Automotive Engineering Apprentice at Ricardo. She is currently on a Level 3 apprenticeship and hopes to continue onto do her degree level.
After studying her A Levels in Film & TV and Graphic Design, she went onto work for Amazon, Netflix, Marvel and Disney. On productions including Wonder Woman II, Mission Impossible 8 and Cruella. She discovered engineering through the Speical Effects Department, and decided to make a career change, doing so through an apprenticeship.
Laura is a creative individual and enjoys trouble shooting, problem solving and learning about all the technicalities that come with her job role. She is passionate about encouraging more women into engineering and gets involved with STEM activities, careers events and is even organising and hosting an event for female engineering apprentices this year.
